Leslie Lionel Galant was born in Tygerberg Hospital and raised in Scottsdene Kraaifontein. He finished his school career at Bernadino Heights Secondary where he matriculated in 1993. Lionel Galant accepted the Lord and Saviour in his life in 2007 in the Full Gospel Church Belmont Park now known as Belmont Worship Tabernacle and was baptised by Pst Randall J Pienaar in the same year. He later served as a Deacon where he loved to serve the church and the community. He later became an elder where he served under the head pastor of Belmont
Worship Tabernacle Pst Randall Pienaar.
Lionel Galant and Lelani Galant were joined together in holy matrimony in November 2003 and became one. Together they have two children, a son, and a daughter.
Lionel later furthered his biblical studies through Team Impact Christian University and obtained a certificate in Ministry, Diploma in Ministry, Bachelor’s degree in: Ministry, Theology and Counselling. He was then ordained in Ministry in 2022 by Team Impact Ministries.
In his youth Lionel had a love to play sports but he always felt the calling to serve the Lord. On a later stage in his life after many challenges he came to the faith and believes that he still has allot to do for God. He believes in the commission of Jesus Christ where He said in Mathew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the sun and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of age.” This is where his interest lay, to go out and preach the gospel of God. At his work where he serves as a police official he loves to speak to the community and to the homeless and tell them of the Love of Jesus and about salvation.
Outside of his church duties he loves to watch sports and horse riding as he is an equestrian horse rider for the Mounted Police Unit. He loves to spend time with his family.
Lionel loves the Lord, his family and church. He explains” I’m happiest when I’m going and doing for the Master.”
