About Us
The Tabernacle Where God Reigns Supreme
Belmont worship Tabernacle has a rich history. The church formed in 1976 when the Full Gospel Church of God in S.A bought the property from the Pentecostal Protestant Church. The FGC, Belmont Park as it was known then, now 48 years old and on the 6th of May 2006 Pastors Randall & Berenise Pienaar became the 7th Pastoral couple of the Church. During the nearly 18 years the church has gone through an entire transformation. During this time we had gone through 3 architects and eventually our building plans were submitted. Rom.8:28 “And all things work together for our good…”. Mr Winston Moolman submitted our plans and was approved on 30th April 2019.
Soon after this, the pandemic hit the world and our country, but as a church, we used the opportunity to start with our building project. Due to the closure of our in-person gathering, we were hit with financial challenges as there was no income to the church. And because of the decline in our income, it hampered our project, but we kept the faith and used the available resources to our benefit. It took us two years to complete 95% of our renovations to where we are today with still minor things like floor covering that needs our attention.
But thank God that some of our members and donors who sowed into the ministry helped to complete most of the building project. Whenever work had to be stopped God stepped in and came through for us.
And daily God has been adding to the church those who are saved.
Our church has now gone through a name change, we are no longer BELMONT ASSEMBLY BUT BELMONT (HIGH MOUNTAIN) WORSHIP TABERNACLE
Acknowledgments
Acknowledgment to our Belmont families who donated from as little as R10 to R10k, you are all appreciated, Past Theo Bowers and Calvary Sanctuary who donated an amount to the Pastoral family and the church, Johny Jacobs, Past Randall Jacobs of Sowers of the Word ministries, etc. One person in particular is Richard Williams, who donated and sponsored everything pertaining to the plumbing and our toilet equipment.
Our own Belmont families, we are not going to make any feel less worthy because of the amounts. Yes, we thank those who gave generously but under very difficulties, people gave out of their needs, from the youngest to the most senior person in our church.
Elder Vrieslaar, our building project Manager, and the most senior member of the church, in your absence I would to thank you for your hard work through the years. God bless you as you further your ministry.
All glory and honor to God, our Saviour, the Rock of our salvation, our Cornerstone, and Chief Builder of our Church. We will forever be grateful to God.
